Michael Quesada grew up in Folsom, California where he attended Folsom High School before receiving a baseball scholarship to the University of Arizona in 2008. After redshirting his freshman year, he attended Sierra Junior College where he was drafted in the 24th round by the Minnesota Twins in 2010. Michael had a 5 year playing career across multiple minor league levels, but instead of attempting to prolong his playing career, he followed his passion towards college coaching and became the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at Folsom Lake College. Shortly after accepting the job, Michael was approached with an opportunity to become the area scout for the Minnesota Twins in Northern California which allowed him to work closely with prospects in hopes of providing them with the same dream of playing professional baseball like he had. Working with college coaches, helping crosscheck players along the west coast as well as other parts of the country, and even the Dominican Republic, were just a few of the experiences that Michael had as an area scout. But after 5 years, Michael and his wife Megan decided to move to Nashville to be closer to family and work as a professional scout for the Texas Rangers. During his time with the Rangers, Michael was responsible for evaluating all players within the Mets, Pirates, Red Sox and Twins organizations, from rookie ball up to the Major Leagues, to help make decisions on trades, waiver wire pick ups and free agent signings. After helping Texas win a World Series in 2023, Michael's daughter Delaney was born. Due to the desire to be the best husband and father he can be, Michael made another family decision to leave scouting and start OFP Baseball Consulting with the goal of helping players and their families not only be the best players they can be, but also find the right school that fits their needs athletically, socially and financially.
